It started as an idea to take Mary Ann someplace for her birthday….. but I made all of the plans. I hope she had fun.
Thursday – April 17
We arrived Thursday – the drive was easy and the weather was great. That always makes things nicer. The condo on Mount Washington was very cute and in a perfect location to hit everything.
One of the things I wanted to figure out how to do was make a city scape look miniature. After a few YouTube videos, I had the formula and just needed the photograph. I enjoy night photography and I think this first attempt came out pretty nicely! As you can see at the top. And another night photos….
Friday – April 18
Friday took us to antiquing and to the Andy Warhol Museum . Very interesting look into the man. The antique store was amazing. We both found some treasures – and for good prices. We also drove through my old neighborhoods and checked out my old homes. As much as things change, they stay the same.
Saturday – April 19
Saturday was antiquing and The Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History Saturday morning, I tried to get a sunrise…..there was too much cloud cover, but I did have a nice time at blue hour. I met a Pgh police officer doing the same thing. Pretty amazing chat, we knew some of the same areas.
While at the museum, found a fellow crocheter. I turned her on to Ravelry, I hope.
Sunday – April 20
Sunday I tried to get the sunrise again, but again, not successful, but did get a few more cityscapes. I also was able to do a night to day video
In the small, small world category – I met a Geocacher, which was cool. Even more interesting – he lives in Lancaster county, works in Exton. Go Figure! We also went to the Pirates game – they lost 5-4 in extra innings, but we had great seats and had a good time!

and Monday took us home. I tried again for sunrise….. but no luck. We had good weather all the way. The cats missed us!
Our next adventure takes us to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival
