Day 10 – Day 11 Along the Santa Fe Trail

Whatever day we’re on – I’m starting to lose track of them, took us to Bandelier National Monument and The Manhattan Project National Historical Park. Both were so very cool. And yet, I forgot to take picture…..

However – on the way to Los Alamos – we ran into (almost) a herd of mule deer!

I was driving, so this a cell phone snap, but hey, look at the rack on hat boy. It was a herd of all bucks.

Day 11 took us to Pecos National Historic Park and our drive into Tucumacari, NM where we stayed at the Blue Swallow. This place enchanted us since we stayed last time, so we had to come back. On the way to Tucumacari I saw a road runner – and am happy to report that an anvil did not fall on our heads, nor did we drive into a mountain because we thought there was a tunnel.

The great thing about Tucumacari – the neon! I am chasing neon……
