And so we come to the end of ‘Mother Road – the Redux’ (this will be like one of those limited series from Netflix, where you have to wait many months for the next half of the season – Stay tuned for next season where we’ll do Texas -> California). We still have a few more days before we fly home – Dallas will be our next and final destination.
Our final capture on RT66 was the Yukon signs in Yukon OK and then some neon in Stockyard City
So what have I learned on this trip down Route 66? I learned most people are cool and have a story. I learned I like chasing neon and giants. I learned while we need to preserve the lessons from the past, either restore or tear down – this in-between stage of decay is just sad.
I learned its nice to get away, but I am looking forward to my own bed and my kitty.
